Robot Labor is a research project of the Human-Robot Relations Institute (HRRI), studying work as structure, relation, and system under conditions of robotic integration and publishing public reference materials.
This site explores what happens when robotic systems and work-integrated machine agents take identifiable roles in organized work. It treats labor not only as output, but also as coordination, supervision, pacing, value distribution, accountability, and institutional role.

Robot Labor functions as a research and public-reference project. Regulation, certification, technical safety, and case-specific workplace decisions remain with the institutions and professionals responsible for those functions.
“Automation” can describe a technical change without showing how operational roles, supervision, disclosure, and responsibility are being reorganized. Robot Labor provides a narrower public language for cases in which a machine system occupies an identifiable role in organized work, while keeping people and technical systems distinct.
